Communicating with Communities in Epidemics and Pandemics: the Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Readiness Kit

Description

The READY Initiative launched a new Communicating with Communities in Epidemics and Pandemics: the Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) Readiness Kit, which guides users through outbreak preparedness and response phases that include readiness actions and simple, editable tools to support the planning of RCCE for an outbreak response. Specifically, the RCCE Readiness Kit helps organizations to:

  • Integrate RCCE into emergency/outbreak preparedness and response plans
  • Plan human resources/staffing
  • Coordinate RCCE activities
  • Engage communities across relevant response areas
  • Strengthen RCCE program quality through access to RCCE-related assessments, guidelines, and tools
    Monitor and evaluate RCCE interventions

The web-based RCCE Readiness Kit will be piloted. A PDF version and translations into additional languages will also be available.
