3.1: Ethical principles and approvals for social science research in a humanitarian context

The session covers the main ethical principles that should guide social science research, they are an important responsibility of the researcher which must be upheld. It discusses formal ethical requirements and approval processes and what happens when formal approvals are either not possible or not clear.  It also explains the importance of gaining community approval and how this might be approached.
